National Daughter Day

Khloe had a great day in Kindergarten! She has really settled in well at her new school... and made lots of sweet, little friends. Khloe's favorite little friends in her class is Madalyn, Sadie and Isabella. Khloe enjoyed dance class after school... Nana picked her up after dance and took her home to play with her other BFF, Lillian. They are certainly two peas in a pod. Mommy had a women's retreat to attend, tonight, and Daddy is off on his reality show race... So, Khloe was cuddled and rocked by Nana (before Mommy showed up to sweep her away for her own nighttime cuddles).

Reaching for the Stars

Khloe enjoyed spending some time outside with Mommy. It is cooling off quickly... converting to Fall. We are ready for the cooler temperatures. Lately we have been leaving our windows open at night... to let in some fresh air... making it extra cozy when we sleep. Khloe absolutely loves school! She claims her favorite part of school is lunch and PE. That's our girl. But, she adores her school teacher! Kindergarten has been exceptionally good to Miss Khloe, thus far!

Khloe only left home today to run one errand (with Mommy)... She headed to Starbucks (for an afternoon pick-me-up) and that was about it. Such a relaxing day snuggling and cuddling with her Mommy. Khloe read some books and played some fun puzzles today. We went over her crudentials for Kindergarten readiness... Khloe is definitely ready! She's dreading her Summer ending, but ready for a fresh start in a new school. Sweet girl!

Shopping for Back-to-School

Khloe is definitely getting back into the groove of being home, after her big trip to Alaska. She had a fun day shopping with Mommy for some back to school supplies/clothing. She, enjoyed a scoop of her favorite ice-cream... and fun at the Splash pad in town. We stopped in at our local kids museum for a brief minute, just to find her name in the concrete. Such a fun day, overall.

Back from Alaska

Khloe had such a wonderful time on her (1st flight) trip to Alaska with her Daddy and grandparents. She was gone for a week and a half. Such a trooper! She said her favorite part of Alaska was the "airpline ride." Ha! Mommy was beyond thrilled to have her cuddle bug back... and did we ever cuddle, last night. After several treats today (and Khloe catching up on her sleep from flying straight through the night the night before, without a drop of sleep - sleeping 13 hours to catch up), she wanted to just hang out at home. Who can blame the little lady!? Khloe had a good day with Mommy... She even got to see her other grandparents today for a little while.

Our Busy Belle

Khloe attended her friend, Presleigh's, birthday party today... it was a pool party. Such fun. They all swam and enjoyed some fun activities... simon says. Khloe felt obligated to celebrate Presleigh's birthday by eating not one, but TWO cupcakes! Goofy girl. After the fun party, we headed to some other small activities, made a quick Starbucks stop and then finished the day by going to Khloe's Photo Session. Mommy tries to have her pictures taken professionally atleast every few months. It was overdue. She won't stay this little very long. :(

Surprise Visit to Papaw

Khloe wanted to surprise Papaw, today... by showing up at his work to visit him. They are truly buddies in every since of the word! Papaw thinks Khloe hung the moon. He always gives her a special sweet treat (chocolate) when she comes to visit him. Today was no different. Two of Khloe's favorite things in the world... Papaw and Ice-cream. Yay! The heat was being a little nicer today... although, not much.

Overdue and Too Sweet

Sorry for the lack of posts for a while... We had a terrible tragedy in our family and it has taken us this long to sort of readjust. :(

Khloe asked Mommy to take a picture of her, today... she said it has been a while since Mommy has taken her "daily" picture. And, she looked so darling! It was insanely hot outside... hitting 100 degrees of humid nastiness. Ugh. So, we really couldn't stick around outside our home for too long. What can I say? We are babies. Ha! We managed to run some end of the week errands, before our big trips this weekend. Khloe gets to enjoy her first flight... and to Alaska. Yippee! She keeps asking Mommy if it is true that Alaska stays daylight all day. Mommy and Daddy agree... it is true! She truly is so excited! Mommy and Bubby took sweet Khloe to a yummy Mexican Cuisine in town and enjoyed a little treat from Starbucks. Yumm...

Memorial Day with Daddy/Mommy

Khloe had a great day today. She got to choose what we did today. She wanted to go to the splash park, because it opened officially today, but it was scattered showers all day. Boo. It has been raining so much... for a couple weeks now... every day. So, instead... Khloe went with Daddy and Mommy to one of the more beautiful parks in our town. She smelled the beautiful flowers and loved on her parents. We had a little fun taking pictures in the gorgeous fields of flowers. Then, Khloe was treated to some yummy ice cream with sprinkles at our fun ice cream parlor in town.

Loving Mommy on Mother's Day

Khloe is such a Mommy's girl. She truly is Mommy's shadow. She was more than excited to go enjoy ice cream and a fun little outdoor photo session with Mommy. Last night, Khloe enjoyed a Mother's Day dinner at Copeland's with Nana, Papaw, Daddy and Brother. So, since she already celebrated Mother's Day at school (Mother's Day Tea) and then with everyone for dinner (the previous day), then today was just a fun day to relax with her Mommy.

Day hike with Bubby

Khloe was not thrilled that her Daddy was out of town again... But, she had a great time with Bubby and Mommy. Mommy treated sweet Khloe and Bubby to lunch and a day hike around our beautiful trails and gardens in town. She is so very fortunate to live in this beautiful part of the state, where we have magnificent trails and beauty all around. Khloe loves to experience the outdoors (trails and all) with Daddy, but since he was out of town this weekend... Mommy and Bubby improvised. Ha!

Khloe had so much fun today! She enjoyed a surprise birthday party for her Papaw (both at his work and at dinner with his siblings), but, also, her friend Julianna celebrated her birthday at the bowling alley. It was a bit wet outside, but it never dampens Khloe's plans. She did great bowling, her cousin Klohe-Leah was even at Julianna's birthday party (because she is in Julianna's class at school).

Daddy Flew Home

Khloe was excited today, because her Daddy flew home from a business trip. He took her straight to a short hike close to our home (once we picked him up from the airport). Khloe got to explore flowers and waterfalls. She is definitely an outdoor girl at heart... She gets this from her Daddy.

Umbrella Bella

Pre-K Fall Picture Day

Khloe looked so adorable at her Pre-K Fall picture session today at her school. :) These were retakes, because the first set of pictures did not turn out the best. After school today, since it was warmed up in our town, she want to visit our Town Square. She loves our little ice cream parlor there. The best homemade ice cream... yummy! Her dress matched all the tulips around the Square. Yay.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt Fun

Khloe loves this particular Easter Egg hunt that she goes to each year. This year, she was ecstatic, because her best friend, Lillian, joined her. They had fun at the festivities at the park, before the hunt began. They were super successful grabbing a basket full of egg treats during the hunt... and afterwards, they were treated to ice cream at Khloe's favorite local ice cream parlor (before taking Lillian home). So much fun Khloe had today.

Raindrops Keep Falling on Her head...

Khloe loves the fact that Spring bring rain. She loves to play in the rain and explore the tiny creatures in nature. Today, she found a snail family and a worm family. Our patterned concrete is a creature wonderland... You never know what might pop out of the ground after a little rainfall... But, you can sure guess that Khloe will certainly try to solve the mystery. ;)

Joe Nichols Concert Cutie

Khloe was excited to take a road trip with her family to see Joe Nichols perform. What we were really there for was Joe's opening act... Barrett Baber. He is going to be big one day and Daddy is good friends with his manager. Although, it was hot and sticky outside (and it is only the beginning of April), Khloe still managed to have fun (dodging the mosquitos along the way). We headed home a bit early, but Khloe didn't mind, because she enjoyed the show... along with her glowsticks.

Gorgeous Blooms of Spring

All the Spring Blooms surrounding us have been absolutely breathtaking. Oh my! The vibrant colors and beautiful pastels are certainly picture-worthy! Khloe has been loving our neighbors blooms on all their trees. Nature simply cannot get much more lovely... at all! But, with all the beauty, comes sneezies and wheezies. :( Ah-choo!

Spring... Where have you Been?!

Khloe loved the weather today. It started off as a cooler morning and then temperatures got up to almost 80 degrees. Whoa!! She insisted she spend quality time at the park, today. Mommy couldn't agree more! It was indeed the perfect play day.

Easter Picture Session out of Town

Khloe has enjoyed spending time out of town this weekend. Our last event of the trip was Khloe's Easter pictures outside the zoo. However, the picture below was taken by Mommy and Daddy at a beautiful park in town. Spring is in the air... and Khloe is ecstatic for Easter! She absolutely adores spending time with her family and holidays. She enjoyed spending time outside, checking out the new life of animals in the spring... and new spring blooms. So beautiful and serene!

Fun Times at the Zoo

Khloe had a great day (day 2 of her weekend trip). She woke up and enjoyed breakfast at the hotel. Then, we headed to the zoo (while it was cooler this morning). She loved the animals. She got to ride a CAMEL... all by her little self! Big girl! She also enjoyed the carousel ride, train ride, petting the animals in the petting zoo, watching the chimpanzees do tricks for her, seeing a tiny owl up close and personal (it looked like a furbee), and the list goes on. After leaving the zoo we hit the Cheesecake Factory (another first for Khloe) and retail therapy (shopping). She had her Easter portrait session today, with one of Mommy's favorite out-of-town photographers! She did a great job and cooperated. Yay Khloe girl! Mommy ordered her the most adorable Easter outfit... but, she will be wearing it on Easter, too. So, check back then to see her Easter attire. After her pictures, we headed to some beautiful parks around town to take some sunset pictures (with Mommy and Daddy) while she was dressed for it. We ended the day with playtime at a local playground before heading back home. Action-packed, super-fun day... made for a Princess!

Roadtrippin' with Mommy/Daddy

Khloe was so excited that she got to go out of town and stay in a hotel. One of her favorite things to do... for sure! Mommy and Daddy returned from their recent vacation, so it was Khloe's turn to be treated to fun. Poor big brother (aka Bubby) had to work and couldn't go. Boo. We headed out of town and hit several fun hot spots along the way. Khloe experienced her first Hard Rock. She thought she was old enough to play the gambling machines... but she has a few years to go. Ha! She is growing up so fast... she acted like such a big girl on her trip (well, other than wanting to be carried around all the time)! What a great first day of her weekend road trip!

Shopping for Mommy

Khloe was a big helper today. She cruised along with Mommy, helping her get things ready for Mommy and Daddy's upcoming vacation. Khloe helped Mommy decide on swimsuits, shoes and other articles for her trip. But, there was always fun time between shops. Khloe was in the shoe store (Mommy was looking for waterproof sandals) and saw a firetruck that she would ride. She even put her own quarters in the machine to start up the fun ride (she was disappointed by the weak sound of the horn... LOL). Khloe knows how to have fun NO MATTER where she is. She called Nana while we were at the shoe store and asked her if she would come get her... and of course Nana showed up immediately. Just precious!

Rain Never Bothered Her Anyway

Khloe loves the rain... and it never fazes her. She likes to make the best of every day. Today, even with the rain, she played outside with Mommy for a bit. Although, most of the day, she stayed in and worked on reading, writing, coloring and other fun activities. Khloe had her speech class today, but it was her only outside activity for the day. She is counting down the days when Mommy and Daddy leave for their trip to the BVI (next Tuesday). She's excited, because she gets to spend time with her Papaw/Nana... and play with her best friend in their neighborhood, Lillian. She can't wait!

Sunny Days Ahead

Khloe is excited that the weather has been beautiful the last couple days (only to bring rain later this week)! She ran errands with Mommy (helping her prepare for her upcoming trip). She was quite the little sweetie today. Khloe explained to Mommy today that she did not want any more babies (ever!) in our house, because she wants to be the baby forever! So funny! It has been on her mind, lately, probably because so many of Mommy's friends/family have been having babies these past couple weeks and she is just clarifying her desires (or non-desires). LOL We enjoyed a lot of time outside today. Daddy wanted us to come by his office. When we got there, we took a walk (behind his work) to check out part of the lake stream. Khloe got to see a huge turtle starring at us (he was propped up on his log and a bit annoyed because we were throwing rocks in the water). Mommy finished re-registering Khloe for Elementary school today... can't believe she's about to be a big girl! So glad Mommy and Daddy opted to keep her back another year before making the huge lunge in to Kindergarten (Elementary school). She was far too little (having a very late birthday) and Mommy/Daddy just WERE NOT ready, either!! But, boy, is she going to be Miss smartypants when she does start Kindergarten... she knows far more than the average 1st grader, even. Straight A's here she comes!

Dr. Seuss Day at School

Khloe was thrilled to get to have a Dr. Seuss party in her class, today. Dr. Seuss is one of her favorite children's book author. We can't tell you how many times a week Khloe chooses one of his books to read before bedtime or just because... many many times! Mommy had a custom dress made for Khloe for school last year to wear for her Dr. Seuss party, but it was too big last year when we received it in the mail. So, we saved the adorable dress for this year. It was a hit! Her teachers proclaimed they wanted a dress like that made for them in their size. Ha!! All day long the compliments rolled in. Sweet girl looked darling! It was a memorable party... with lots of fun food/activities... all Dr. Seuss related! After school, she enjoyed dance class with her friends.

Raindrops Keep Falling on her Head

Khloe has decided that our weather is unpredictable... period. From ice/snow... to wind... to rain... to heat. Goodness, consistency would be nice. Ha! But, as of today, it has been raining for two days. Khloe is ready for the sun to pop out and stay out... especially after all the snow/ice we just had. Even though it was a rainy day, today, Khloe certainly made the best of it. She started off her day with a short speech class with one of her all-time favorite speech teachers. Then, we grabbed a quick lunch (and Khloe got a little sweet treat). After lunch, we shot home to read a little, practice writing our letters and math (addition/subtraction)... watched a movie... then headed into town to meet Daddy for a little grocery shopping (after he got our of work). Khloe has been missing her bubby, since he started driving... she is so excited to see him every evening when he gets home! Awe!!

Daylight Savings Cutie

Khloe didn't forget to set her clocks forward last night. She was out the door, in a hurry, this morning. She had a birthday party to go to. After taking brother lunch to work, we ran by one of our favorite clothing stores, briefly, to find a mint colored top (for Khloe)... we also found a cute swimsuit and some cute jelly sandals for the summer! The snow is long gone and we are preparing for Spring. Yay!! Khloe had a great day... it wasn't as warm as it had been the past two days (because it was overcast), but Khloe wasn't complaining. We ran into some of our dear friends (the Wilsons) while we were shopping. When we got home, Khloe ate dinner and went with her Daddy to visit with one of our neighbors (Khloe likes to go down there, because she loves their little dog).

Ding Dong the Snow is GONE!

Khloe was extra excited today to spend some time outside... finally, the snow melted and Spring is in the air! The sun was shining... and it was in the lower 60's today. Yay... a break from this bitterly cold mess. A glimpse of Spring is EXACTLY what little missy needed! Khloe wanted to spend some time outside. Today, she had a hearing/vision test for Kindergarten requirements. Unfortunately, her ears were all clogged up today, so she didn't do great on her hearing test (which any other time she always passes... but, I'm sure she has some fluid in her inner ear drum... her nose has been running and her eyes, too). Her vision test confirmed that she she needs glasses for her astigmatism. Ugh. But, knowledge-wise... Wow. She can count to 100 and beyond... she knows up to her 5s in simple addition... she is starting to work on subtraction with Mommy... she knows her address, city, state and country she resides in... how to read simple sentences/ and spell easy words... and all of the things I covered last year on her blog post. Khloe is above average and we plan to keep her there! Khloe is officially ready for Kindergarten this Fall and we are so happy we kept her back one more year (just to increase her intelligence even more!).

Winter Wonder Girl

Khloe finally got the snow she expected this past weekend. It started snowing heavy on Friday early afternoon and did not let up until Sunday night. We were trapped at home, due to the roads being iced over and snow freezing. We were beginning to wonder if we would even get any more snow this winter. But we did... and we are expecting more... soon! Khloe was excited, though, because we went to a banquet dinner Saturday evening and by the time the banquet was over, the roads were solid ice.... unable to travel. We had to load up and drive down the road to Papaw/Nana's house. It turned into a sleepover. But, it was fun and we were all safe. Yay!! Khloe is ready for Spring and Summer... she has so many cute outfits to wear (which it's hard to dress too cute when it's freezing outside!).

Snow Belle

Khloe kept asking Mommy if she would have school tomorrow. She knew that snow meant no school. Ha! We weren't sure if we were ever going to get snow this winter... we made it all the way to the end of February without snow. Then, boom... this past week, we have gotten one big snow fall, and several smaller snow falls. Today, the flurries were falling and at times it was a little thick. If nothing else, it is a beautiful sight. But, wowsers, it was freezing outside... a whopping 18 degrees. Khloe had one small class today and then she requested Chick Fil-A for lunch... Her wish was Mommy's command. Such innocent, simple requests at her age. These years are the best!

FIRST Sleepover Fun

Khloe could not hardly wait for this day to get here... she waited all week for Friday to come. Today, Khloe was going to her friend, Lillian's, house. Lillian invited her over for a sleepover. Not just any sleepover, but Khloe's 1ST SLEEPOVER!! Before the sleepover, though, Khloe was Mommy's sidekick. She ran important errands with Mommy most of the day. We started off the morning going to the service department (at our car dealership) and having our car balanced (realigned, after just get our tires rotated yesterday). The car was a bit bouncy after we had it serviced the previous day. Khloe wanted one of her favorite chicken dishes for lunch, so that she got. After, we took Bubby lunch to school and headed home shortly after. Khloe gathered her swimsuit (for her friend's hottub) and changed her clothes for the sleepover tonight. Mommy took Khloe to Papaw/Nana's house before the sleepover and they took her on to the sleepover, after. We had a strong feeling that Khloe wouldn't want to sleep there (because of separation anxiety and homesick feelings), so since her grandparents live right down the road for her friend, then they were waiting for the call to come get her. And, they DID eventually get the call "Khloe wants to go home"... they called around 12:30am. She was quite the trooper and lasted all night... keeping up with the best of them! Way to go Khloe!!

Valentine's Party at School

Khloe had a fun day at school... It was their class Valentine's Party. The theme this year was "Frozen". Mommy didn't realize that the students were allowed to wear their Frozen gear/outfits, so after dropping sweet Khloe off at school, Mommy ran home to grab her Elsa dress. We, also brought cupcakes and Frozen plates to class. Khloe gave both of her teachers some chocolate treats for Valentine's Day. After school, Khloe was treated to ice cream at her favorite ice cream parlor.

Valentine's Party in Dance Class

Khloe had a great day at school, today, but she was really looking forward to her party for Valentine's Day in her dance class today, after school. She brought some goody bags for her dance friends. It was crazy socks day, so Khloe wore some fun Hello Kitty tall socks. Nana picked Khloe girl up from dance, so she could go to their house and have a play date with her BF Lillian. After Mommy picked her up from her grandparents' home, we went home and worked on her Valentine's handouts for her classmates in Pre-K tomorrow.

The Cutest Sidekick

Khloe was quite the trooper today. She was Mommy's sidekick for the day. She woke up this morning excited that it was pretty warm outside... so, she wanted to spend some time playing outside on this beautiful day! She had a short little speech class this morning (she really loves her speech teacher this year). Then, we enjoyed some Olive Garden for lunch (since Daddy was heading out for his weekend mountain biking challenge).  She helped Mommy mail packages at the post office.... she even wanted to take all the pictures of the packages for Mommy. Ha!! Khloe got lots of compliments on how cute she was today. After taking Bubby to work, we headed home and spent some quality time reading books, working on puzzles and cuddling (of course!). Khloe's ideal day.

Crazy Hat Day

Khloe was excited about Crazy Hat Day at her school today. Mommy and Khloe made a glittery pink hat with black/white ostrich feathers all over it. It was super cute! She got to school and was a little embarrassed to wear her hat, because all the other kids just wore normal hats. But, not long after she was standing in class, her teachers talked her in to putting her hat on. All the kids (except one boy) wore hats. It was a fun day at school for little Miss Khloe! After school, she went back to Nana and Papaw's house to play (since it was rather warm outside). She just loves going over to their house... there is so much to do outside! Her pony is there and all her outdoor powerwheels, swingset and the list goes on. Looking forward to Springtime!

Activity Overload

Khloe had many activities planned today. It has been rather warm (unusually warm for this time of year, considering it's supposed to be winter), but the temperature dropped about 20 degrees from the morning until the end of the day. It was spitting ice and raining a bit, but became very cold rather quickly. Khloe went to Storytime today (for PreK kids). After they read books, they worked on activities to coincide with the books they read. Her activity was to make a colorful monster. She did... and it turned out darling. She ran in to her classmate and friend, Nicole, there... and they instantly teamed up to create super cute/funny monsters. Ha! Also, when we were leaving Storytime (walking out to our car), we saw Khloe's PreK Teacher, Miss Suzie, walking past us. So, we stopped to chat with her. Later in the afternoon, Khloe went to her dance class and worked on her recital song... then a special surprise awaited her. Nana was there to pick her up from dance and take her home with her to play with her best friend, Lillian! Yay... it was a super fun day for sweet Khloe girl!

February, Already?!

Khloe was happy that February was finally here. She knows what holidays belong to each month of the year. She knows it's Valentine's Day in February. Smart girl! So far the year 2015 has flown by... January came and went so fast. Whoa! Khloe is still growing like a weed... we are certain that she hit another growth spurt this month. She moved up in shoe sizes (wearing a toddler 9, finally) and is trying to catch up with her little buddies in height (although, she is still almost a head shorter than them!). Ha! Today, she went with her family to celebrate her Daddy's birthday. We enjoyed lunch at one of his favorite restaurants in town... can we say creole?! Papaw and Nana joined all of us for brunch! It was a great day!
