Papaw/Nana's 40th Anniversary Party

Khloe loves parties... loves them! She was so excited that today was her Papaw and Nana's SURPRISE 40th Anniversary Party (Mommy and Daddy are throwing). Mommy asked Khloe what she wanted to wear to the party and her first response was "Matilda Jane." LOL The sweet girl knows what she wants. She was a little trooper helping her parents set up the party for her grandparents. She couldn't wait to dig in to the cake, either. Yummy. It poured down rain ALL day... so that was no fun! But, it didn't put a damper on the party!

Back in Action

Mommy and Daddy were gone for a week to a friend's wedding out of town (14 hours away). But, Khloe enjoyed spending the week with her Papaw and Nana... she is treated like royalty with those two! This is the reason Khloe's blog was not updated over the past 7 days. Today, Khloe played catch up and enjoyed seeing her friends in ballet class. After a day of many errands, Khloe enjoyed dinner (with Daddy, Mommy and Bubby) at a local BBQ place. We finished our day off with grocery shopping and a movie at home. Khloe picked out a new Strawberry Shortcake movie (one of her favorite movie series). She was a happy girl to be back with her Mommy, Daddy and Brother! Lots of hugs and kisses were shared... Ha!

School-sation

Khloe was jolly about going to Preschool today. She only goes twice a week, so she really looks forward to her school days. She loves to play with other kids... and do activities... and just be a big girl altogether. ;) Mommy had a day of pampering before our big upcoming trip, so she had to hurry and pick up Khloe, afterwards. Mommy was not pleased after her second day of school (today). The first day of Preschool, Khloe came home with her name written in permanent marker on top of her cloth boutique lunchbox. Boo. And, today, Khloe wore a new pair of shoes and came home with filthy, dirt-caked shoes (on the outside and inside of the shoes). That's not how we take care of things. So, we are not thrilled. We might have to start sending her to school in "play" clothes/shoes. <sniff, sniff>

Hanging with Bubby

Khloe got to hang out with her Bubby today. She went with Mommy to Bubby's school to check him out early for his Orthodontist appointment. She loves to go to Bubby's Orthodontist's office, because they have drinks stocked in the fridge and an ice cream machine. She loves her homemade ice cream. They, also, have arcade games and fun stuff to do in the game room, while we wait. Afterwards, we ran some more errands and finished off her day with Mexican food for dinner (meeting Daddy at the restaurant). She's excited for school tomorrow!

Allergies Attack

Khloe has been a little under the weather today. She has been fighting these horrid allergens for several weeks now, but the allergens were super thick for the past two days. So, of course, she finally started feeling yucky today. Poor girl! But, on a positive note, she enjoyed spending the night with Papaw and Nana, last night! After a short class today, Khloe headed home to rest and re-energize.

1st Day Pre-K

The day finally came... Khloe started Preschool today. She felt like such a grown up little girl. We woke up early this morning to prepare her lunch (for school) and take some "1st Day" pictures. Khloe was such a trooper when we got to her school. She showed us that she knew exactly what to do. She greeted her teachers, put her lunch on her class lunch cart, put her back pack in her cubby, took some pictures with Daddy, Mommy and her teachers... then told us to get lost. LOL Khloe is so independent... exactly as we predicted she was going to be on the first day of Pre-K!

Dance 'n Dash

Khloe had ballet and tap class today. She is a happy girl around her dancing buddies... as you know! But, today we had to hurry after class and run some last minute errands.. before Khloe starts Preschool tomorrow. And, my oh my, she is SUPER excited about becoming a BIG girl and going to school. Now, she gets to be like her Bubby. We didn't skip our "after dance sweet treat" today, though. She still had ice cream from her favorite ice cream parlor. Khloe went with Mommy to get her lunchbox embroidered with her name, too, before going shopping. It was an exciting day, overall!

One Day Closer

Khloe just cannot contain her excitement! After today, she is one more day closer to starting Pre-K.. Hooray! But, in the meantime, we had two different classes today... one being hip-hop class. She loves her hip hop dance class, so much. Unfortunately, with Pre-K starting for her this week, we are forced to rearrange her dance schedule and she will be getting a new hip hop dance teacher. Khloe and Mommy met Daddy for lunch, after her morning classes. Gourmet Mexican food... Yum! Afterwards, Khloe played outside at a beautiful, local park to complete her day's activities.

Mettlesome Monday

Khloe had quite a mettlesome day. (Mettlesome defined as spirited, active, vivacious, perky, peppy...) She started off her week in the right direction, for sure. She was ecstatic after we dropped off her enrollment forms to her Preschool (as she will start Pre-K on Thursday). She can't wait to start school... and she is begging to start school tomorrow, instead of Thursday. Ha! What a go-getter! Before the day was over, we went for our mini cupcake treat. Then, had a little fun at Chuck E Cheese (we had some token to use up). Khloe shopped for lunch boxes for school, after all the fun. She found the perfect lunchbox to go with her backpack. She is officially ready for school! What a big girl!

Game Day Princess

Khloe loves our NCAA Football team... We are huge fans! She is such a trooper when it comes to getting in to team spirit. Khloe enjoyed spending time with our good friends' kids at the watch party. She jumped on the trampoline, rode bikes, watched Disney movies and played with lots of toys. Such a fun day for a little sweetie! **Might Mommy add, too, that Khloe received endless compliments all day from strangers around town, as she was dressed to represent our awesome team!

Scorchin'

Khloe is not keen on the over-abundance of heat that Mother Nature has given us, lately... today was certainly the same. You can't even enjoy playtime outdoors, because everything you touch (that has been in direct sunlight) scorches your fingers. Ouch! So, Khloe did not spend much time outside today... which does not make her very happy. She is an outdoor-kind-of-girl, for sure! ;) Khloe ended up running errands with Mommy after her last class of the week. She picked out a goody, today, for being such a good girl this week... she picked out a little spooky Halloween book library (no surprise!). The girl LOVES to read... can you blame her?!

Friends Day Wednesday

Khloe got to dance with all her favorite buddies today. She loves this group of girls so much. Khloe wanted to get ice cream after dance, but we were pressed for time. We had to meet Dadddy (he dropped off his car to get new tires and an alignment) and waste two hours of time until his car was ready. So, we made a quick stop for ice crea, picked up Bubby from school and hung out at the park. Khloe had no complaints!

Labor Day Weekend

Khloe really enjoyed spending time with family and friends, this past Labor Day weekend. She had lots of swimming time with Daddy and friends. She loves holiday weekends... almost as much as Daddy (since he doesn't have to work!). Bubby spent the weekend with his good friend and their family on the lake. He was happy to take a break from football!

Today, Khloe really had a crammed-packed day. She had a dance class, speech class and Matilda Jane premiere show to go to (with Mommy). Lots of fun! Plus, Mommy talked to Khloe's Pre-School director today and it looks like she will be starting classes next week. She will LOVE interacting with other pre-schoolers her age... she will start off going two days a week... and then we will add more days later.
