Fun Day in Town

Khloe wanted to go to the park today, but it was blazing hot outside. Mommy didn't want Khloe to scorch in the awful heat. So, our time outside was limited today... Not so fun for a little darling that loves to play outside. We had lunch at a pizza house in town. Mommy had to run "Khloe errands" today... Signing Khloe up for Fall Dance classes (her 3rd year of dance, already!), enrolling her back in Pre-K and signing her Kindergarten Waiver (claiming that Mommy chooses to veto Kindergarten for her this Fall). Khloe had a great day, overall, with Mommy and Bubby. She is super excited about getting to spend 11 days with Papaw/Nana (soon when Daddy/Mommy are away on vacation).

Hanging with Bubby

Khloe had a great day. She enjoyed spending the day with Mommy and Bubby (while Daddy worked). Mommy had to run several errands for our upcoming trip. Khloe didn't mind helping, though. We hit up some department stores... But, managed to have a lot of fun, too. Khloe ate a quick lunch. We picked up Bubby's girlfriend, Ally... and hung out with her for the day. She is so sweet. Khloe wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese's for some quick fun, so Mommy stopped by there... giving her only $6 in coins. It went quick, so we headed on to run another errand. We ended up at our Town Square for a scoop of our favorite ice cream (to end our day, before taking Ally home). Khloe was so happy. Khloe played her LeapPad games when she got home and worked on some spelling puzzles (before dinner was ready... Mmm... Shrimp).

Helping My Mommy

Khloe really wanted to help Mommy, today. She helped Mommy put dishes away and make breakfast. Then, she wanted to help her Mommy get ready for her upcoming trip. Khloe loves to be a big helper. She is going to be something pretty important when she grows up. So, this week, Khloe has perfected counting to 100... by herself. And, to think... She just turned 5! Way to go. Khloe can also do simple addition (1+1..., 2+2.... 3+3...). She can add all her 1's, 2's and 3's. We are working on our 4's and 5's. She is so smart... and she doesn't realize it! Khloe enjoyed a quick lunch with Mommy. Then, we headed home to play outside (the weather is still in the low 70's). She helped Mommy pack a little when we got home... after working on our workbooks and writing out name.

The Sun is Hiding...

Khloe, once again, was astonished by the weather, today. Temperatures in the mid 70's, overcast and cool breezes. Perfection... Especially for a child that is an outdoor junky! Khloe enjoyed lunch with Mommy and Bubby at one of her favorite Italian Restaurants in town. Then, we went for some cold treats at one of our favorite coffee shops (frozen spiced chai.. Mmm!!). Daddy promised Khloe that he would take her to the pool with the big swirly slide, late afternoon... He stuck to his promise and took her. She wore the most adorable, hip swimsuit today (always a one piece, because she is not allowed to wear a bikini). So much fun for one little lady.

Fall Weather in July?

Khloe loved the weather today... It was in the 70's today (September temperatures). What a mild July we have been experiencing. Khloe was not complaining. She really didn't want to do much today, except hang out outside. Can't blame her! Khloe and Mommy picked up Brother in town. Then, we headed to enjoy some yummy ice cream. Besides that, Khloe just spent the day relaxing, reading, writing and playing outside (the Sun was hiding, so it made it perfect outside).

Much to Do in Little Time

Khloe couldn't hardly wait to start her day, today! She had one activity after the other planned on this Saturday. Khloe went with Mommy and Bubby (while Daddy rode his mountain bike). Khloe got an unexpected surprise... we met RaeLynn (a country music artist from The Voice) at lunch time. Khloe got her picture taken with her! Shortly after, Khloe headed to her good friend, Ella's, Birthday party. It was a fun, art party. Khloe then headed home to get ready for a Block party (kid friendly). She was one exhausted girl by the time she got into her car seat. She fell asleep immediately. She had loads of fun, today!

5-Year Wellness Checkup

Khloe had her Wellness Checkup (required for Kindergarten this Fall), today. She didn't really know what she was going in for. Mommy only let her have one immunization, this time. Her Doctor took her stats and explained that she is now in the 22% range for height of all kids her same age. Ugh!! She dropped from 95% to 26% in two years... and then another 4% in the past two months. Her doctor is going to keep her eye on her height levels in the next year or so... to make sure that she is growing. Not sure why the huge bubble in height percentile. Yikes. Oh well... she has a lot of short people in her family. All of her grandparents are short EXCEPT Mommy's Dad (who was 6'5" tall). It might just be a short term bubble for her. We'll see... Other than that, Khloe went grocery shopping with Mommy and spent the day at home learning. She was a happy girl today!

Mommy & Daddy's Special Day

Khloe celebrated Mommy/Daddy's Anniversary with Mommy today. Ha! Her Daddy went on a motorcycle trip with a group of people. Today, Khloe ran some Monday errands with Mommy and Bubby. She enjoyed lunch of her choice and a special ice cream treat (from her favorite Ice Cream Parlor). Then, she headed home with her favorite people (Mommy and Bubby) and enjoyed some fun in the sun (in her backyard). It was blazing hot today... Goodness. Khloe worked on some online education programs and challenging puzzles before dinner. Khloe loves spending time outside and learning!!

Independence Day Cutie

Khloe absolutely loves fireworks! So, this is one of her favorite holidays... The 4th of July. She woke up today and couldn't wait to see the fireworks display in town.  It was a fantastic show this year! She was ecstatic to see the fireworks show through out massive hotel window. Daddy rented a hotel room in one of our lovely hotels in town, because of the amazing view on the top floor (and a perfect setting to watch the show). It turned out lovely... No bugs biting, hot/humid temperatures and ridiculous crowds. Khloe walked around our town's festival (that is held every month), before the show. She ate dinner with her family at a cute, local restaurant... got her face painted... and rode ponies. Then, she opted to stay the night with Papaw/Nana after the fireworks show was over. Too much fun in one day for one little girl!

Miss Busy

Khloe stayed the night with Papaw and Nana, last night. When she woke up this morning, she rode her miniature horse (her birthday present) and played outside with Nana. The weather is absolutely unbelievable today. In the 70's with a cool breeze... unheard of weather (and a new record low) for July in our state. Wowsers! Mommy picked Khloe up right before noon. We ate a quick lunch and headed home for some fun outside... especially since we won't see this cool of a day, again, for a while (or until Fall). Khloe got another surprise when she got home. Grandma came over to her house to visit her! Grandma has been so consumed with her job, that time hasn't allowed her to see Khloe or Bubby (or anyone else) much, lately. Khloe was so so excited to see her Grandma!! Grandma has a special birthday surprise for her this weekend. She wanted her to stay the night with her tonight, but Khloe has plans for the 4th of July (both tonight and tomorrow)... so, she will get to spend some more quality time with her on Saturday. She's a very blessed little girl to have two sets of grandparents that love her so much!

Birthday Girl

Khloe woke up and explained that today she is one year older! She has been waiting for an entire year (since her last birthday) for her birthday. She was pampered and spoiled today. She woke up to Nana and Papaw at our house... Nana making her biscuits & gravy for breakfast (with a birthday candle). Then, she opened up her gifts that all her friends/family got her. Khloe had a Nail appointment today... she got a Princess Pedicure (she chose blue for her toenails... in honor of Independence Day in a few days). She picked out a new outfit at the Girl Boutique. She requested one of her favorite dive-in restaurants for lunch with Mommy and Bubby (since Daddy was working). When we got back in to town, Khloe wanted to play at the Splash Park... she made little friends there and played for quite a while. Daddy met us there. Little Miss Birthday Girl wanted to go out to eat for her birthday dinner, so she chose the restaurant, again. She chose catfish for her meal... She loves it! They brought her a birthday dessert... Yummy! Then, we headed home for some birthday cake and relaxation. She definitely took full advantage of this day and loved every minute of it!!
