Birthday Party Girl - Princess Khloe

Khloe has been waiting (since her last birthday) to celebrate her birthday again.... She woke up and couldn't wait to start her day. She was naming off all the little girls that would be attending her party today. So exciting! We started off the day running more errands (ie. picking up cake, balloons, cake pops, ice, etc.). Khloe took a nap during the travels (while Bubby overlooked her as Mommy ran in to stores). Her party was later today, so it worked out well... still leaving enough time to get there and get ready! Khloe had two outfit changes today. Her birthday dress was custom made by such a sweet lady (Robin W.) and her formal Princess dress was special ordered, too. The other little girls were in awe of Khloe's dresses... and most even asked if they could wear them. So sweet! Her Princess Party was a HUGE HIT!!

Setting up for Birthday Party

Khloe ran some last minute errands with Mommy and Bubby today (while Daddy worked) for her birthday festivities tomorrow. We headed to Papaw and Nana's house (where we are having Khloe's birthday party) and unloaded all her birthday party decorations and began setting up. Mommy loves to throw parties (especially birthday parties for Khloe and Bubby). After a full day of decorating, we called it a night and headed home to get plenty of rest for Khloe's BIG and royal Princess birthday party tomorrow. She was ecstatic after seeing everything set up before her party!

Princess Camp- Day 2

Khloe is loving her Princess Dance Camp this week. She had another good day... and made lots of friends! She is such a girly girl... and so outgoing. Such a joy! She was excited to sit down with Mommy today and sort through her Princess Decorations for her upcoming big birthday party this weekend. We went to pick up her 20X30 Portrait of herself... to put on her easel... as we do each year for her birthday (we love sticking to  traditions we create in our family). Khloe, also, played at the park with Bubby (until it started raining).

Princess Dance Camp- Day 1

Khloe was so thrilled to get to go to Princess Dance Camp through her Dance Academy today (it is a one week dance camp). The little girls dance a little and learn how to be a true princess. They learn manners and girly things (makeup, nail painting, stories, etc). So exciting for any little girly girl... Especially, Khloe! And to think... she will finish the week off with her big Princess Birthday Party on Saturday (to bring all her princess teachings through dance into fruition). Yay! It is so fun being a little girl! After dance class, Khloe had her bi-annual dental teeth cleaning (with her awesome dentist). No cavities... Hooray! Khloe, also, had her partial retainer put back in (it was sent back from the out of state lab). A great day, indeed.

Fun with Friends (St.Louis Style)

Khloe got to enjoy plenty of time by the pool at one of the most beautiful homes we know of (our good friends' home). She played with their two boys and had a blast. We decided to relax on our last day in St. Louis... After a day of swimming and relaxing, we headed to dinner and enjoying some great Mexican food. Khloe loved being with their two cute boys! Never a dull moment.

St. Louis Central Park Fun

Khloe explored more of St. Louis today with her family. We let her play at their central park (after leaving the hotel), near Busch Stadium. There were many fun sculptures to play around in the park. Daddy allowed her to get wet in their Splash section (similar to home... where water squirts up out of the concrete). She got a little wet... but, what fun is it if you can't play in the water. :) After all the fun, we soaked up the sun by the pool at our friends estate  (right out of St. Louis). Khloe loved their infinity pool and bubbler. Too much fun for one little girl!

St.Louis Science Center Fun

Khloe explored the St. Louis Science Center with Bubby, Daddy and Mommy, today. She was overwhelmed with all the fun gadgets and experiments in the facility (including the huge interactive dinosaurs on the lower level... surreal). She dug for fossils, built architectural numbers (creating an arch replica) and much more. So fun! Our original plans were to go to the zoo and botanical gardens, but the Science Center was the back up plan in case of rain (in which it rained all night). After visiting the science center, we headed to The Hill and enjoyed some authentic Italian food at Gusano's. Mmm!

Cardinals Game - St. Louis

Khloe was so excited to get to go to the Cardinals Baseball game, while we were in St. Louis. Her daddy's firm has box seats in Busch Stadium (and are sponsors of the Cardinals). Khloe enjoyed playing with her friends in the region that were also with us at the game. Too bad the Cardinals lost to the Rangers, but it was a great time for little Miss Khloe.

St. Louis Bound

Khloe was so excited to arrive in St. Louis today. We are staying here for 6 days. Another road trip, but this one was much less the time. We arrived at our hotel near the Busch Stadium (where the Cardinals play baseball). Khloe had a fairly busy first day in St. Louis. We had a welcome dinner and then she got to play with several kids during kids activity time. She was so excited because she got her arm painted with two beautiful butterflies. After dinner, we headed back to the hotel room for some sleep.

Allergies Attack

Khloe struggled with a stopped up nose all night, last night. And, today, she woke up with a runny nose... and it ran all day. Poor sweet girl. Khloe ran in to her teacher (Ms. Helene) in the Square today. She was so excited to see her outside of class. She gave Khloe a HUGE hug and a piece of taffy candy. She introduced Khloe to all of her children. We were heading to Daddy and her favorite (top secret) ice cream parlor in town... for a one scooper. ;) Bubby tagged along today, since he didn't have anything going on. We played at a new park today, too. Khloe met two sweet, little girls (her age) there... she played with them most of the time she was there (after we had a little picnic in the park).

Twirling in the Rain

It rained the majority of the day... Khloe loves the rain! She asked if she could gather all her pretty umbrellas, and, of course, we did. She chose her pretty leopard umbrella to play in the driveway with. But, before opening her umbrella, she twirled and twirled in her ellie dress in the driveway. So sweet! I don't know what it is about the rain, but it is magical! That magical feeling never goes away. I love how Khloe's eyes glisten in the rain!

Basketball with Bubby

TGIF! Khloe really wanted to go to the park (near our home) to play basketball with her older brother. She loves her Bubby so much! So, after spending the morning catching up on chores at home, reading books, tracing letters and working on simple addition, we were ready to head to the park. Boy was it EXTREMELY hot outside. So much for Spring... it feels like Summer is in full bloom. Not too excited about the heat and humidity... makes for a very hot, not-so-fun summer outside. But, she made the best of it. Nothing ever dampers her mood.

Coming Along...

Khloe played outside the bulk of the day. We headed in to town to her dance studio and picked up her recital pictures. They are cute! Then, we met Mommy's good friend, Shannon, and her daugher, Maddey, at Starbucks. It's always great seeing those pretty girls! We finished up some birthday errands. Mommy ordered Khloe's cake, yesterday, for her upcoming birthday. It is going to be DARLING! Today, we finished up her birthday invitations... going out to all the Princesses (wink, wink)! It's going to be a ROYAL celebration! Khloe's Princess dress came in the mail yesterday... We are almost ready for some fun!

Nothing Better than Ice Cream

Today, Khloe had a little class. We ran by her dance studio, afterwards, to see if her recital dance pictures were in. Nope. So, while we were in the area, we stopped by Daddy and Khloe's secret ice cream parlor and got one scoop of electric vanilla for Khloe, mint chocolate chip for brother and homemade chocolate for Mommy. Mmm!! We headed home afterwards, got ready for some fun at the park and to meet Papaw and Nana for dinner tonight. Action-packed day, again, but Khloe wouldn't have it any other way!

Too Much Fun for One Little Day

Today, Khloe was entertained all day with some pretty exciting events! She started off her day getting to dress up and rock the runway with The Barbie Dreamhouse Experience that was in town (for one day only). What a dream come true for little girls! Next, Khloe played with her Bubby at the Splash Park in town. After exerting such energy, we stopped at the local Ice Cream Parlor for some yummy, homemade ice cream. To finish off her Saturday (evening), we went to the movie theater to watch the movie "Epic." It was Khloe's second time to ever see a movie in the theater! Fun, fun!!

First Friday Fun

Our city has a big celebration every first Friday of the month... Today was first Friday of June. So, we got our celebration on (not to mention Tom Cruise and Hugh Jackman were 20 feet from us eating in our square)! :) Khloe had such a fun time getting helium balloons, eating homemade ice cream and visiting with friends and strangers. She is always Little Miss Socialite... Our local news crew were actually taking pictures of her, picking her up and commenting on how adorable she was. They called her Little Miss Celebrity. So sweet.

Sunshine behind Clouds

It was overcast all day today. Khloe was hoping for some rain (to play in with her pretty umbrella), however, it never rained... just yucky and gloomy outside. So, we continued shopping for Khloe's Birthday party decorations (her big party is weeks away!). We managed to find some cute stuff today... Mommy is feeling on top of things. We had a super busy year this year, so Mommy hasn't gotten the chance to prepare for the party for an entire year in advance (from birthday to birthday), like she normally does. We are having to cram in only a couple months of prepping. But, it is still going to be super cute! Khloe and Bubby were treated, today, to Khloe's favorite cupcake shoppe in town, after a day of shopping. Those miniature cupcakes are TDF!

Unplanned Trip to Dentist

Today, Khloe and Mommy went shopping for decorations for her upcoming birthday party. We hit a couple different stores and before we could stop for lunch, Khloe's partial retainer broke. Eek! Not good. So we made a quick trip to her dentist's office to see if they could take care of the problem. They removed her top retainer (partial) and told us it would be TWO WEEKS before she would have it back in her mouth. That's a long time without her top front teeth. The lab they use is out of state. Hopefully, her retainer will be here before our upcoming trip to St. Louis AND her big birthday party!!?

Chuck E Cheese, Please

Khloe enjoyed the day today with Mommy and Bubby. It's exciting that Bubby is out of school for the Summer... he's not playing baseball this summer, so he has some free time to hang out with his little sister! Khloe wanted to play at Chuck E Cheese's today. She has been craving this type of fun for a while. So, Mommy abided... and fun it was. We enjoyed a pizza and spent a couple hours there. It was not very busy, so it was perfect for us.

Not on Schedule

Today, Khloe got to choose what she wanted to do... because, for once, there was nothing on our agenda for the day! (Don't you just love Summer?!) So, we started off the day running small errands... post office, grocery shopping, craft store (for some birthday goodies for Khloe's upcoming 4th birthday!) and etc. Khloe's Bubby joined us for the day's festivities... He is on Summer vacation from school, too (and loving it). After taking Bubby to get his hair cut, Khloe decided what she wanted to do. We went and grabbed a quick lunch, then went for ice cream (at our local ice cream parlor). Afterwards, we headed to one of Khloe's favorite parks (where daddy met us briefly) and then called it a day.

Relaxing Sunday

Today, Khloe just relaxed and hung out with her family. Daddy took Khloe to the park and played for a while. Then, they headed out to Papaw/Nana's old ranch. The new owners of the ranch wanted to show Khloe their ducks, baby kittens, baby fawn and alpacas. Khloe was in animal heaven! She had so much fun playing with all their animals... especially since we don't own a pet. :)

1st Dance Recital

Khloe had a super, busy day! We woke up EARLY this morning and went straight to Dress Rehearsal with her Dance Team. Rehearsal went well... the girls are ready! After Rehearsal, we stopped by Starbucks for a pick me up (since it was earlier than we were used to!) and headed to pick up a few more pieces of makeup for her recital (sparkly and fun). We headed home... Mommy put makeup on Khloe and got her all dolled up for her big Recital! (Mommy quickly put together a beautiful pink/hot pink bouquet to give Khloe after her performance.) We then headed straight to her Recital! She performed beautifully... Yay Khloe!!
