New Year's Eve Darling

Khloe was a little under the weather today. She woke up with a little congestion and runny nose. But, she made the best of her last day of 2013. Khloe opted to go with Papaw and Nana for the evening (while Mommy, Daddy and Bubby went to a New Year's Celebration). She really need to rest that evening, anyway, and didn't need to use so much energy all night long with friends at the celebration. We dressed up for New Year's Eve with her party dress, beforehand, and took some pictures at home. 2014 is bound to bring big things to sweet Khloe... Looking forward to seeing Khloe's accomplishments this new year!

Counting Down Hours till 2014

Khloe spent the day with Mommy and Bubby (while Daddy worked). We ran some errands in town. We picked out a New Year's Eve outfit for Mommy... but, Khloe was treated to frozen yogurt for helping Mommy decide on the right outfit (she even helped Mommy zip and unzip her top in the dressing room). What a big girl... she has such enormous style in her toddler years... she knows what a girl wants and needs to feel pretty and happy! 2014 is bound to be a huge year for little Miss Khloe! She is going to turn heads, for sure.

Holiday Lunch with Relatives

Khloe was invited to join some of her relatives for an extended holiday lunch (Nana's side of the family)... out of town. Even though she is four years old, she met some of them for the first time. Hard to believe. She was so poised and dainty... and really enjoyed her brief road trip with her family. Khloe enjoyed playing with the babies in the family, too, because she was the oldest. She was showered with some gifts, as well. So much fun! It was such a nice day, over all... weather and family time.

Prepping for Nana-Time

Khloe could not wait to go to see Nana today... She wanted to ride her new ride-on toys that she got for Christmas. She keeps all her ride-on power wheels toys at Papaw and Nana's house, because they have a nice, flat neighborhood to ride it in. Khloe's neighborhood (at home) is extremely hilly/steep. No fun, but it gives her an excuse to see Papaw and Nana more often. ;) After breakfast and some morning learning activities, Khloe headed to see Nana.

Peaking Winter Sun

Khloe enjoyed spending some (much awaited) time outside, today. The sun finally came out and it warmed up past 30 degrees (it was almost 60 degrees!). It was the perfect opportunity for little Miss Sunshine, herself, to stretch those arms and inhale some fresh winter air (without freezing!). God's little blessings... Khloe was full of energy and played with several of her Christmas gifts today (as well as working on her learning program - as she loves to learn!). Daddy worked today and Brother was home briefly. Khloe asked Mommy (several times today) when Christmas was next. Mommy had to explain that Christmas comes around once every year - for the rest of her life. She was satisfied with that response! Ha!

Christmas Day ~ Khloe's Way

Khloe had such an exciting Christmas Day. She woke up and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus! Then, she proceeded to discover all the surprises/presents Santa Claus left her the night before. Santa ate her cookies and drank her milk... and left her a thank you note. She was so excited!! She received most items on her Christmas list... and even upgraded her Ride-On with a bigger, faster and more girly ride-on. She is now the proud owner of a 12v White Convertible Mercedes... as girly as a car gets! She is stylin'. So cute! She received other presents that she had asked for. Khloe got to head over and spend some evening time with Papaw/Nana... whom also let her open several surprises of their own. She got to bake with Nana before heading home for the day.

Papaw & Nana's Christmas Party

Khloe was completely thrilled to get to go to her grandparents' home for entertainment tonight. Papaw was playing music with his band and entertaining the guests. She loves to hear her Papaw play guitar and sing... it's magical. Khloe enjoyed eating all the yummy foods (that her Nana prepared) and dancing while the band was playing. Not a shy girl, at all, that's certain. Ha! Khloe has a hidden playroom at Papaw/Nana's house that was decorated for the holidays. It was a hit for sure amongst the guests... everyone thought "Khloe's House" (her playroom) was so adorable.

Holiday Whirlwind

Khloe has been very busy this past week (explains the lack of blog posts, lately... oops!). She has been so consumed with class holiday parties... oh my goodness... entirely too much fun for one little girl! Khloe had a Pajama/Christmas Party in both of her dance classes this week. She had a Christmas party in Pre-K (where she made Mommy the cutest snowman ornament). Khloe visited Santa and shared with him her interest in certain gifts this year (for being a good girl)! She even visited Build-A-Bear and created her Bunny named "Wendy." Such a fun week... she is really looking forward to this weekend and Christmas! She has a super busy weekend ahead of her... along with some exciting events lined up before Christmas.

Christmas Time is Fun-tastic

Khloe is really enjoying all the festivities that comes along with Christmas. She is really in the holiday spirit and is loving all the lights, activities and love she is participating in! She's a lucky girl, because she stayed the night, last night, with her Papaw and Nana... and boy did they treat her to an exciting evening! She got to see the Christmas lights on the Square, ride a pony by herself and ride in a carriage with Nana. She loved it all. Khloe had a small class today, but is super excited to get to finally go back to Pre-K (after being gone for a month, due to her surgery). She can't wait to play with all her friends and see her teacher!

Loving her Family

Khloe spent the majority of the day watching Disney movies and playing at home with Daddy (since he works during the week). Mommy made breakfast and lunch... and Daddy took us to dinner (after we ran our errands in town). Khloe and Daddy were going to go see Disney's Frozen in the movie theater, but they were all sold out (still... a month after it's release). Khloe already saw it with Mommy, but she wanted Daddy to see it with her (it is such a cute movie!). So, instead we shopped around a little and we all went to eat dinner (Bubby's favorite part!). Ha. Oh, and while we were shopping around, we ran into one of Khloe's favorite dance friends, Ella... they hugged each other (so precious!). Khloe was going to see Santa, again, but the line to see him was horrendous!

Dancing in New Dance Studio

Khloe was back in action, today! Back to busy days for our little girl. She was ready! Khloe had her Post-Op appointment today with her doctor that performed her surgery 3+ weeks ago. She worked with his Speech Therapist, too, to see how well she is doing since her surgery. Khloe is doing fantastic... her palate is healing nicely and she is ready to eat solid foods again. Speech should dramatically change for her in the next 6 months, when her newly structured muscles in her palate soften. Can't wait to hear the improvement! After her appointment, she was treated to Chick Fil-A for lunch (getting to play in the play zone). Then, she enjoyed her first day back to dance... and was it a special day, because her dance instructor/owner's new Dance Studio opened and Khloe's class was the very first dance class to dance in the new building! Lots going on today... Praising God for his grace!

Watching the Ice Melt

Khloe has been patiently awaiting the snow/ice to melt. Yesterday, she managed to get out of the house for the first time in a week. So, that is a good sign. Khloe is an outdoor junky (like Daddy), so this being trapped inside is for the birds. Ha! She played around for a little bit outside... taking in the last couple days of our snow-covered yard and neighborhood. Hopefully, we are clear of snow for a while now. Khloe has been inside learning lots of fun things. Mainly, learning to add and being quizzed on what letters select words start with (without a visual of the word). She has, also, been working on projects and coloring. She is so ready to go back to school and dance!

Snow Daze

Khloe has been MIA on here, because we have been trapped at home in pajamas for a week. A major snow snow swept through our area leaving behind lots of snow and ice. Our little snow princess has been stuck at our house for a week... just waiting for an opportunity to get out of the house and explore! Her first request when we left the house was to visit Santa. So, of course, that is what we did. And, surprisingly (because there was still lots of snow/ice all over the roads), there were no other kids there to see Santa. Lucky Girl! She just went on and on with Santa... telling him exactly what her little heart desired for Christmas. Sweet girl! She was thrilled to get out of the house and leave behind those snow days (which cancelled her school, her dance classes, speech classes and everything in between) for the past week.

Warm December Day

Khloe was not complaining that it was really nice outside... which was abnormal for our area this time of year. She was outside without a jacket... if that tells you how warm it was. Khloe called her Nana and asked her if she could take her to the park today. LOL So, of course, Nana said comes stay the night and we will go to the park. Spoiled much?! Khloe rode her bicycle around her grandparents' neighborhood and enjoyed the rest of the day outside, before the sun set. Snow is on it's way to our home. (She is feeling much better after her surgery.)

Fun Around Town

Khloe enjoyed spending time with Mommy today and running errands. She has really been wanting to go back to her dance classes and preschool class (since she hasn't been in 3 weeks), but she is not quite ready yet (since her surgery). Really soon, sweet girl! In the meantime, Mommy just get more time to cuddle with Khloe and spend lots of quality time with her. Yay! Khloe was such a cute girl today, she wanted to spend as much time as possible outside - since snow and ice is coming later this week.

Recovering Beautifully

Khloe has really enjoyed her time, since her big surgery. She has been doing all sorts of activities at home. From coloring to fun projects! She has definitely stayed busy in the meantime. Today was a nice day outside, so Khloe enjoyed a few minutes outside (being cute).

Thanksgiving Yumminess

Khloe absolutely loves holidays! Thanksgiving is no different. She could not wait to sink her teeth into some soft stuffing, gravy and other food choices. She had been so deprived (after her surgery) of these foods that she was so ready to incorporate them back into her diet. And, boy, did she dig in! Ha!

Surgery Day

Khloe woke up early this morning and got ready for her debut. She was to arrive in style at the Children's Hospital for her surgery. She was a trooper... Not being able to eat or drink anything since midnight, Her surgery didn't happen till almost 2pm!  Talk about a hungry girl! :/ The doctors and nurses kept complimenting Khloe on how cute she was!

Fun Day Monday

Khloe had such a lovely day, exploring a big city today. She explored old mills and military vehicles. She played at some of the largest parks/ playgrounds in the state... Her eyes were full of excitement when she saw the size of the playgrounds and slides... Wowsers! Tomorrow she has surgery... Not so fun! She will not be a very happy girl. So, Mommy and Daddy spoiled her with fun today!

Christmas Pictures Already

Khloe felt really good today. She's over all those stomach bugs and allergies. Thank goodness. Since she is having surgery, early next week, she will spend 2-3 weeks recovering. So, we had to take Khloe and Bubby's Christmas pictures earlier than normal (so she is happy in them!). She did a great job acting sweet and adorable at her session! Mommy let her play on the swings and jump in the leaves, afterwards. It was a gorgeous day!

Miss Under the Weather

Khloe missed all her dance classes and other classes this week, because she has been under the weather. At the beginning of the week she had a stomach bug... then, she was really weak and tired and had a soar throat the rest of the week. (Not good, considering she has surgery next week!) But, the little sweetie never lets anything take her joy away. LOL She had a tea party with Mommy tonight... after playing with her horse - Butterscotch (interactive pet). She has been a trooper. Mommy has been loading her up with freshly juiced juices and all sorts of other vitamins/ proteins!

Just can't get enough Love...

Khloe really just wanted to hang out at home today. She is still absorbing all Mommy's affection (since Mommy got back from her trip last Friday). Hugs and kisses.... and more hugs and kisses! We just can't get enough! <smiles> Khloe ended up getting dressed up to head in to town with Mommy (later in the day) for Bubby's Orthodontist appointment. She loves going there, because they have all sorts of treats (ice cream machine, specialty coffee machine, fridge loaded with drinks, etc.) and fun video games to play. She insists on Bubby taking his time there... so she has more time to play!

Mommy & Daddy are Back

Khloe was excited to get to spend the day outside with her family! Mommy and Daddy were away to Boston for five days for a special, surprise birthday trip for Mommy. Khloe had fun with Papaw and Nana, but she missed her parents! So, we enjoyed the gorgeous Fall day together outside... looking at art, playing on hay bale and leaves at our local art museum. Khloe loved spending time with her Bubby there!

Halloween Cutie

Khloe woke up this morning with pure excitement! She loves Halloween... After preschool, we headed home to get ready for dance and dinner with Papaw and Nana. Nana was making homemade pizza for us. Khloe was excited because her little cousins, Miles and Asher, were going to be Trick-or-Treating with her in the evening, after dinner. We took some photos before they started Trick-or-Treating in Khloe's grandparents' front yard. Khloe dressed up as Little Bo Peep and she was the cutest ever!!! She had so much fun Trick-or-Treating with Miles and Asher! She was wiped out by the end of the night.

Halloween Preschool Style

Khloe's little preschool class didn't get to wear costumes for Halloween (because it's a Christian preschool). But, that didn't stop her from dressing cute Halloween style. She had fun participating in all the holiday festivities with her classmates at school. They carved pumpkins, decorated cookies, made pumpkin patch paintings and had a little party. She had a blast!

Rained Out Pumpkin Patch

Khloe had a fun day at Preschool with her classmates. They painted pictures of pumpkins and learned all about pumpkins. After class we enjoyed a quick lunch met up with Bubby and Daddy for some "almost" Pumpkin Patch fun... But, it started raining so we didn't get to enjoy the festivities (but will make up the fun there, this weekend). Instead, we stopped and took some pictures under the beautiful trees (Fall foliage here is absolutely breathtaking!!).

Bring on Monday

Khloe was so happy for everything to be back to normal. Bubby isn't sick anymore and Daddy is back from his adventure. Khloe went to get fitted for some new Jazz shoes and enjoyed a little lunch with Mommy. Mommy promised we could go to the park today, since it has been a little while since she has been. She enjoyed her quality time outside and played her little heart out (until we had to leave to get brother from school).

Bouncing Back

Khloe spent a couple of days without Mommy. Mommy was in ICU with her Bubby for Severe, Uncontrollable Asthma. But, after a full recovery for Bubby, Khloe was reunited with her Mommy and Bubby. Daddy was away on an outdoor adventure trip. So, Sunday, we woke up and took it easy. We enjoyed the gorgeous weather outside and hung out in our Town Square, together!

Khloe woke up this morning to a phone call (from her Papaw)... He wanted to know if Khloe wanted to join he and Nana at Cracker Barrel for breakfast this morning. Of course, she said YES! So, they were quick to arrive at Khloe's house to pick her up. She was excited! Later, she'll head to dance class with her dance buddies.

Family Photo Session

Khloe's antibiotic is already kicking in... and tackling her nasty ear infection. Today was a super fun day for Khloe. She was a pro at her family photo session, with Miss Katie. Miss Katie takes her dance pictures at her dance studio, too. Khloe knows how to pose for Katie. Afterwards, Khloe enjoyed shopping for groceries with Daddy, Mommy and her Bubby! Bubby's friend, came over, this evening to stay over. Khloe loves having visitors/guests. Overall, it was an exciting day for Khloe!

Arts & Crafting with Mommy

Khloe was still under the weather, so we headed to her Pediatrician, today. Khloe coughed all night long (last night), so Mommy wanted to make sure it wasn't chest congestion going into something worse (like Pneumonia). Khloe's Pediatrician told her that she had a severe ear infection in her left ear and possibly one in her right. So an antibiotic it was. As we were heading home, Khloe was disappointed that she was not able to go to the Arts & Crafts Fair (close to our home) that was in town. Mommy had promised her she could go... so, we stopped for a brief moment... and managed to take some cute pictures.

Dancing with a Cough

Khloe will not allow her allergies to get her down. The girl keeps on going, like the energizer bunny. LOL She was giddy about dancing with her friends, today! The girls in her ballet class are all like sisters and get along so well. They are all practicing their recital dance AND they were selected by the owner to dance for the local nursing homes for Christmas! Exciting! After dance today, we picked up Bubby, ran some much needed errands and then headed home to cook for Daddy.

Raindrops Falling on My Head

Khloe doesn't care if it is rain or shine. She enjoys every day no matter what! Today, she ran Monday errands with Mommy and loved carrying her pink umbrella around town. Silly girl. The umbrella was bigger than she was... but who's to judge a little girl having fun in the rain?!! Khloe has been battling a little chest cold for a few days, but she is a super strong girl with a super duper immune system.

Outdoor Girl

Khloe craves outdoor fun. She is an outdoor adventurist at heart (just like her Daddy!). Today, Daddy went on a mountain bike ride on some of the mountain biking trails close to home (really more like 40 minutes away from home). So, since Khloe didn't get to go (being too little), the local parks took a close second. She played most of the afternoon... throwing rocks in the creek (getting very muddy fingers at that), playing on the playground, climbing the bars (on the bigger kids side of the park), throwing walnut balls off the bridge, chasing butterflies, exploring caterpillars and much more!

Pre-School Picture Day

Khloe had her first school pictures, today. She dressed so girly - in pink and white. Mommy had to get up super early and teach, so Daddy had to take Khloe to school this morning. They went to our local museum to view their latest piece of outdoor art. It was fun for Khloe to get to spend the morning with her Daddy! After school today, she had another dance class... hip hop... she loves it because it is so upbeat and there are lots of girls in her class.

Square Day

Khloe had a rather busy day, today. She woke up to a pleasant surprise this morning when her grandparents were at her home. They were there to deliver our new mattress set and living room furniture to us. They are so sweet!! After they left, Khloe got ready for her ballet class. She had a fun day with her friends in ballet! Khloe rode a tricycle around our Town Square after dance class. We headed home early after our classes and appointments to enjoy family time.

Yucky Sore Throat

Khloe ran fever most of the night last night, but you would never know she didn't feel good... she never complains. She thought if she complained, then she would not be able to go to school today. Ha! What a precious little girl... so independent! She enjoyed her projects at school today... and then was able to see her grandparents (she was missing them... it had been an entire week since she saw them). She played with her new legos at their house and enjoyed some time outside. We met Daddy for dinner, after he got out of work.

**Khloe, also, got her hair cut after this picture... Mommy cut 4 inches off her hair. Now it is fuller and healthier. Overall, Khloe has had about 7 inches of hair cut off since she was born.

New Week... New Fun

Khloe was tired of the rainy weekend. She had a great time, but she really wanted to just soak up the sun and play outside. We ran some much needed errands and explored the outdoors (while Daddy was working and Bubby was at school). Khloe wanted to go play at Gilbert Park. She made a friend there... and found a little skateboard (but, Mommy broke her heart because Mommy didn't let her play with it). She had so much fun and couldn't wait to end the day, curled up on the couch watching movies with her family!

Gorgeous Fall Sunset

Khloe tends to love Fall better than the other seasons. Mainly because it's beautiful outside and she can wear a light cardigan and be comfortable! She also admires Fall's Sunsets... they are the most pretty sunsets of the year. So, we took full advantage of the beautiful sunset this evening. We almost missed it, but we were able to photograph it before it was completely gone. It was a great weekend!

Umbrella Spinner

Khloe never gets upset when it rains. Lately, it has been raining it's fair share. She actually looks forward to the rainy, overcast days... she gets to twirl and spin her girly umbrella in the rain. And, Mommy has the perfect photo opp! Twirl, twirl... spin, spin... she didn't forget her lovely grin. We took some pictures this morning before our weekend outing.

Being Sick Never Stopped this Chick

Khloe and Mommy (both) were under the weather starting late yesterday evening. It was some sort of strange virus going around causing headaches, mild fever, chills and nausea. No fun! However, we had to go on with our day. It's never fun ending the week being behind. Khloe had a little class, today... but, other than that... nothing major.

Behind the Clouds

Khloe had such a fun day today... she just loves Wednesdays! It's dance day for her. She got to see her cute friends today in class. It rained a little today, but it turned out to be a pretty day. The sun was hiding behind the clouds, when Khloe played in the Town Square and was treated to ice cream, afterwards. Yay! Brother had a hair appointment, after we picked him up from school... and we ran a couple more important errands. Khloe went hiking with her Daddy this evening when she returned home with Mommy. She loves being outside!

Papaw/Nana's 40th Anniversary Party

Khloe loves parties... loves them! She was so excited that today was her Papaw and Nana's SURPRISE 40th Anniversary Party (Mommy and Daddy are throwing). Mommy asked Khloe what she wanted to wear to the party and her first response was "Matilda Jane." LOL The sweet girl knows what she wants. She was a little trooper helping her parents set up the party for her grandparents. She couldn't wait to dig in to the cake, either. Yummy. It poured down rain ALL day... so that was no fun! But, it didn't put a damper on the party!

Back in Action

Mommy and Daddy were gone for a week to a friend's wedding out of town (14 hours away). But, Khloe enjoyed spending the week with her Papaw and Nana... she is treated like royalty with those two! This is the reason Khloe's blog was not updated over the past 7 days. Today, Khloe played catch up and enjoyed seeing her friends in ballet class. After a day of many errands, Khloe enjoyed dinner (with Daddy, Mommy and Bubby) at a local BBQ place. We finished our day off with grocery shopping and a movie at home. Khloe picked out a new Strawberry Shortcake movie (one of her favorite movie series). She was a happy girl to be back with her Mommy, Daddy and Brother! Lots of hugs and kisses were shared... Ha!

School-sation

Khloe was jolly about going to Preschool today. She only goes twice a week, so she really looks forward to her school days. She loves to play with other kids... and do activities... and just be a big girl altogether. ;) Mommy had a day of pampering before our big upcoming trip, so she had to hurry and pick up Khloe, afterwards. Mommy was not pleased after her second day of school (today). The first day of Preschool, Khloe came home with her name written in permanent marker on top of her cloth boutique lunchbox. Boo. And, today, Khloe wore a new pair of shoes and came home with filthy, dirt-caked shoes (on the outside and inside of the shoes). That's not how we take care of things. So, we are not thrilled. We might have to start sending her to school in "play" clothes/shoes. <sniff, sniff>

Hanging with Bubby

Khloe got to hang out with her Bubby today. She went with Mommy to Bubby's school to check him out early for his Orthodontist appointment. She loves to go to Bubby's Orthodontist's office, because they have drinks stocked in the fridge and an ice cream machine. She loves her homemade ice cream. They, also, have arcade games and fun stuff to do in the game room, while we wait. Afterwards, we ran some more errands and finished off her day with Mexican food for dinner (meeting Daddy at the restaurant). She's excited for school tomorrow!

Allergies Attack

Khloe has been a little under the weather today. She has been fighting these horrid allergens for several weeks now, but the allergens were super thick for the past two days. So, of course, she finally started feeling yucky today. Poor girl! But, on a positive note, she enjoyed spending the night with Papaw and Nana, last night! After a short class today, Khloe headed home to rest and re-energize.

1st Day Pre-K

The day finally came... Khloe started Preschool today. She felt like such a grown up little girl. We woke up early this morning to prepare her lunch (for school) and take some "1st Day" pictures. Khloe was such a trooper when we got to her school. She showed us that she knew exactly what to do. She greeted her teachers, put her lunch on her class lunch cart, put her back pack in her cubby, took some pictures with Daddy, Mommy and her teachers... then told us to get lost. LOL Khloe is so independent... exactly as we predicted she was going to be on the first day of Pre-K!
